So, is there more between heaven and earth? Yesterday I heard that 2 out of 3 people thinks there is. How about us sugars? Do you believe in paranormal things, or astrology, ghosts, clairvoyance?

I believe that anything is possible.

I believe that there are things that science has yet to explain, but that there is ultimately an explanation for everything. I believe in empirical proof and the scientific method. I tend to treat supernatural claims with a healthy dose of scepticism. I do try to have an open mind, though, and I try to respect the beliefs of others- especially religious beliefs.

I'm a creationist so of course I believe there is more out than just what meets the eye.

Shakespeare wrote, and I agree:
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

sweetpea, I agree with you: the fact that empirically we cannot measure (explain) everything yet does not mean that we never will. But all in all, to me that doesn't make it any less mysterious...

I used to teach philosophy of science, does it show Smiling?

I think that the mystery and wonder is what drives the best scientists. They don't assume they have all of the answers already and are exited by the possibilities.

10

I believe in a little bit of everything. I don't believe in it all though. Does that even make sense?

11

right! although not always these researchers realize that what they are doing is probably also relative, or bound to be improved upon. I don't believe in the definitive answer to life, the universe and everything. in the end, we may get close, but never really know the world out there... what do you think?

I love that you just said "life the universe and everything"!
You're right, science and research is an ongoing evolution, and it is arrogant to assume that what is discovered now might not be expanded or improved upon someday.

exactly!
although, we all know that the short answer is 42. right Eye-wink?

Ah, yes, but what is the question Laughing out loud

Laughing out loud let's ask the mice!
